The Yurt of Invincibility is a symbol of support for centuries-old Ukrainian-Kazakh friendship, installed in the city of Dnipro on Priberezhny Square, at the address Naberezhna Peremogy, 66. This is already the sixth yurt installed as part of the project of the same name.
“Yurta Nezlamnosti” is a project of the initiative of the chairman of the inter-parliamentary group “Ukraine-Kazakhstan”, deputy of the People’s Friendship of Ukraine Serhiy Nagornyak, Kazakh businessman Daulet Nurzhanov and representatives of the Kazakh diaspora in Ukraine.
Such yurts are primarily a symbol of support and centuries-old Ukrainian-Kazakh friendship. Five such yurts have already been installed in Ukraine.
If necessary, the yurts can function as regular “points of invincibility”, and their main purpose is cultural centers, where those who wish can get acquainted with the larger culture of Kazakhstan, attend workshops and various events. At the grand opening, everyone can taste traditional Kazakh pilaf and baursaks (fried puffy balls of yeast dough).
A yurt is a Kazakh portable frame dwelling with a felt covering, an ancient traditional dwelling of Turkic nomads, which is used in Ukraine as a heating point during blackouts from missile attacks. The main purpose of yurts is cultural centers, where those who wish can get acquainted with the rich culture of Kazakhstan, attend master classes and various events.
