Yurt of invincibility Kyiv

On January 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the city of Kyiv, in the Taras Shevchenko Park, another heating point “Yurt of Invincibility” was opened. This is already the second yurt installed in Ukraine, as part of the Ukrainian-Kazakh project of the same name.

A yurt is a traditional, Kazakh, mobile building with an area of about 60 square meters. It was made in Kazakhstan, according to Kazakh traditional rules for building a mobile home for nomads. In the middle of the walls of the yurt are decorated carpets with Kazakh ornaments that protect against the cold.

At the opening, visitors were treated to pilaf and baursaks – delicious Kazakh fried hot pies and tea. A pleasant atmosphere reigned in the yurt, which brought together both Kyivans and guests of the city, as well as Ukrainians who had to leave their homes as a result of Russian aggression

The yurt became a very symbolic place especially for the winter during the military aggression of Russia and blackouts in Ukraine. It is warm and cozy here, you can warm up, charge your phone, and have a snack.

The authors of the “Yurta Nezlamnosti” project are Serhii Naрorniak and businessmens from Kazakhstan.

After opening, the yurt continues to function as a heating point in the city of Kyiv, various events are also held in the yurt. On February 5, the Italian artist Paolo Koia held a drawing workshop for children.
