Kazakh Yurt of invincibility in the capital of Ukraine

On Saturday, January 14, at 2:00 p.m., the Yurt of Invincibility heating station opened in the city of Kyiv. This is already the second yurt installed in Ukraine, as part of the project of People’s Deputy of Ukraine Serhiy Nagornyak, with the support of the Kazakh diaspora, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine and local self-government bodies. A week ago, the first Kazakh yurt was opened in the city of Bucha.

The second such point of invincibility was opened in the capital in Shevchenko Park.

I invite the townspeople and everyone! Please come to warm up and get acquainted with the culture of Kazakhstan. Here you can drink tea, eat hot Kazakh pilaf and baursaki.

Assistance of Kazakhstanis to Ukraine

From February 24, 2022, Kazakhstan sent several batches of humanitarian aid to Ukraine: antibiotics, food products, and personal hygiene products. Help continues to this day.

Recently, representatives of Kazakhstan’s business circles handed over 41 electric generators to Ukrainian medical institutions for uninterrupted operation of hospitals during a blackout.

It was the yurts that were brought to Ukraine from the Almaty region with the support of the Kazakh philanthropist Daulet Nurzhanov.

Marat Darmenov, volunteer, representative of the Kazakh diaspora in Ukraine, says:

Six disassembled yurts were loaded into a car for shipment to Ukraine, and exactly one truck came out.

Moscow’s irritation with the opening of Kazakh yurts

After the opening of the first “Yurta of Invincibility” in Buchi, photos appeared on social networks showing how representatives of the Kazakh diaspora treated the residents of Buchi to pilaf and hot baursaks, while locals curiously inspected the nomads’ housing assembled from wooden structures and covered with felt.

Moscow reacted with undisguised irritation. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, reported that the Russian side “drew the attention of the representatives of Kazakhstan” to the publication about the yurt installed in Buch.

“We were assured that the information circulated in some mass media is not true and the government of the republic has nothing to do with it. The Russian side has no reason not to trust close partners. At the same time, in order to avoid further “spinning” of this topic with the aim of harming the Russian-Kazakhstan strategic partnership and alliance, an official comment from our friends that would put an end to these speculations is very welcome

Deputy Nahorniak reports that two yurts have already been installed – one in the city of Bucha, the second in Kyiv, the next in the city of Kharkiv! The project plans to install six such yurts.
